@KevinFuccillo @DeanFaganMusic Common misconception between US AND Europe as US (BMI, ASCAP)defines the overall performance as 200% whereas Europe does 100%. So keeping 100% writers means 50% of the total performance royalties. Other 100% (50%) are the publishers share.

@DeanFaganMusic I was under the impression 50% is standard across the board for writers share. I’ve worked with numerous production companies and all of them have been 50% split - even speaking to more experienced composers, this seems to be the norm…

Composers always read contracts carefully! For a while there has been a shift with production libraries/publishers to try and take cuts of a composers writers share. For the first time I had a library approach me about signing only for them to take 50% of the wrtiers share 👀😅.

@jgmusic @pluginalliance @jorisdemanmusic Black Box is sure amazing. Also try the Lindell channels (esp 69) on individual channels or on groups - thankfully they gain compensate so you can easily try what it does to your signal by pushing it pretty hard. Oh and Kiive Tapeface on the 2 bus does amazing work too
