Sorry but acting like the term “theyfab” isnt used derogatorily towards both non-binary people & trans men is dumb. Its often used to demean our transness & reduce us to afabs who are faking being trans. A white trans woman can absolutely be an oppressor towards trans POC

@bininity @bluejago “In favour” ? I admit there’s not alot of studies comparing the sexual violence trans women & trans men go through and i did try to find more studies but these are the only ones available, but 209 isnt “barely any trans women” and its still a valid study

@DE_Struggles @bluejago this study has an extremely slanted sample size in favor of trans men, which is probably why its showing u that the number is higher for trans men. bc they sampled barely any trans women compared to trans men. do u even fucking read these??

Just to be clear, i dont want ANYONE being transmisogynist in my replies. White trans men are also my oppressor, especially when dictating how i should be expressing myself as a trans MOC in the same community.

A white trans women oppressing trans poc is a racist, it has nothing to do with being trans. Also theyfab is a term born from the reaction of cis women discriminating trans women. It can be wrongly used as an insult against all afab people, but it's not a slur

@DE_Struggles I think theyfabs complain so much about the term, because to its way to validate their identity. They face no actual oppression so when something like this comes along they cling to it, as a way of saying “Im oppressed too! now let me tell you how ‘our’ community should function”

@phallolover Did u read any of it bw honest bcs i have multiple screenshots of ppl (not jst trans women) calling ppl theyfabs not bcs of transmisogyny but instead because of their appearance. Im sure this non-binary person was being very transmisogynisic when posting a pic of themselves

@DE_Struggles Yes, on the basis of race, not of gender. A white person will always be able to be oppressive to a POC, just like TME people can do the same to TMA people. It is not to demean your transness, it is to insult some people's tendency to weaponize being AFAB against trans women
