@drterrysimpson Strange then how all those diagnosed with it, who try exogenous ketones, have fantastic results. Almost like the ketones bypass some sort of glucose block. Mmmm.

@MohammedAlo That's fucking laughable! "The body makes too much cholesterol" lol. You know better than genetic adaptation do you?!

You realize he's not a cardiologist and relies on studies from the 1970s? We have 50 more years of data that he cours6es to ignore. Tabas & Williams published 3 papers to disprove an his claims starting in 1995. You keep finding the worst grifters to follow. Maybe in a few years you'll discover Paul Saladino, Gary Brecka, Dr Boz, Ken Berry, Sean Baker, Ovadia, and others. Maybe ChatGpt can help you pull up their old posts from 2015 to help you grift faster.

Summary of the actual truth about cholesterol by .@malcolmken: 1️⃣ Dietary fat does not affect blood cholesterol. 2️⃣ Even if it did, it wouldn’t matter much. 3️⃣ High cholesterol doesn’t cause heart disease. 4️⃣ Statins don’t protect by lowering cholesterol (if they help), it’s through other mechanisms. 5️⃣ The benefit of statins is tiny and massively exaggerated. 6️⃣ Side effects are more common and serious than admitted. 7️⃣ Many “experts” promoting them are funded by the companies making them.

@drpablocorral Like time, IR is a construct and therefore cannot cause a thing. Hyperinsulinemia is not a construct and will definitely cause health issues which can include CVD.

@professionaldog @ScottAppliedSci "Most complete" lol. So NOT complete. Meanwhile, fatty ruminant meat is complete. I'm 7 years in on cooked carnivore and no sign of scurvy yet. In fact my vitc level is optimal. Not competing with all that non essential exogenous glucose must make a difference. Real science!

@DFCarnivore @ScottAppliedSci They are one of the most complete foods. You could live a long time on only potatoes. You'd much sooner have deficiency diseases on meat. That's well known

No Westin Price did not discover the key to all diseases and modern root canals do not seal bacteria in a tooth that is dead. Oddly those theories have been unchanged for 100 years. Untreated tooth infections can absolutely affect the rest of the body. That’s one reason root canals exist. Weston Price’s ‘focal infection’ claims were methodologically weak and were abandoned long ago. Modern evidence does not show that a properly done root canal ‘seals bacteria in your jawbone’ and poisons you for decades.
🧬Craig Brockie@CraigBrockie

A root canal removes the nerve from a dead tooth and seals bacteria inside your jawbone. That bacteria can leak into your bloodstream for years. Decades. Dr. Weston Price proved this 100 years ago. The dental industry buried his research. Millions of people walk around with chronic infections in their mouth and wonder why they're always tired, inflamed, and sick. Ask your dentist about it. Watch their face.

@Tellit007 No. That's rubbish. Far simpler to just explain the role of our hormones. Even the kids get it then.

The keto and carnivore grift has a serious structural problem. To sell the protocol, ApoB has to be irrelevant. Not just less important. Irrelevant. The moment ApoB matters, the elevated ApoB phenotype their diet produces in lean individuals becomes a liability, and the business model collapses. So they invented a replacement. "Insulin resistance is the driver. Inflammation is the driver. ApoB is a passenger." The outcome data did not get the memo. JUPITER randomized 17,802 apparently healthy adults with low LDL-C but elevated CRP. Statin therapy cut major cardiovascular events by 44%. Inflammation flagged the risk. Lowering ApoB-containing particle burden resolved it. Both signals mattered. CANTOS targeted inflammation directly. Canakinumab, 10,061 patients, neutralizing IL-1 beta with no effect on LDL-C. Cardiovascular events fell 15%. Inflammation is a documented pathway. It is also downstream of ApoB particle retention in the arterial wall. The trial did not rescue the insulin-is-root-cause argument. It confirmed that the inflammatory cascade is one mechanism through which ApoB drives disease. PREDIMED, 7,447 patients, Mediterranean diet. Improved insulin sensitivity, reduced inflammation, and 30% fewer major cardiovascular events. Did not require dismissing ApoB. None of this means insulin resistance is irrelevant. Insulin resistance drives hepatic VLDL overproduction, raises triglycerides, generates more small dense LDL particles, and increases total ApoB particle count. It is one of the most powerful accelerants of ApoB-driven atherogenesis. Addressing it reduces particle burden, improves endothelial function, and lowers cardiovascular risk through the same arterial wall. The argument for fixing insulin resistance is not "instead of" the ApoB argument. It is the ApoB argument applied upstream. Not one of these trials needed ApoB to be irrelevant to show results. They showed that managing metabolic health matters and that ApoB-containing particle burden matters. The two are not competing hypotheses. They are the same disease operating through the same arterial wall. The grift needs a binary. The data does not. Choose wisely my friends.

@ifixhearts The term insulin resistant is not ideal. We don't say that a battery is charge resistant when it's full, do we. We simply say it's fully charged and we know that trying to overcharge it will cause issues. We are no different. Love your work!

@danc457324 @ScottAppliedSci No we spent most of the time as scavengers of carrion. Not very "mixed" at all and is the very reason we no longer have a functional caecum and our stomach pH is on par with that of a vulture. Modern man eats a very "mixed" diet, is sicker than ever with an ever shrinking brain.

@NewLeafs2016 @matthewbaszucki No it's not. It's well recognised that seed oils play a huge role, if not a larger role, in metabolic dysfunction. But that doesn't mean that a diet completely devoid of seed oils, but high in carbs isn't a problem.

The real enemy isn't fat. It isn't even total calories. It's refined carbohydrates sugar and processed grains and all that garbage. The foods that chronically spike insulin. The foods at the base of the food pyramid.
