@Bow_B4_BJJ Brown Belt. I think they become to afraid to open up their game and skillset because they don't want to lose to people they have historically handled. Forcing yourself into losing positions and unfamiliar guards is difficult when you know you can win in familiar positions.

I asked a couple brown belts at our gym, What is the main reason lots of athletes don’t make it through Blue and get to purple belt? The answers varied, for the people who have made it through, why do you think they quit?

@MetamateDaz I do about $120 per hour. Wife does about $160. Hang in there. One of the biggest things for us was first realizing what kind of money is actually out there. Our whole mindset changed when we found out her boss, who was an idiot, was making like 60k a month.

Kubrick fans are revisiting EYES WIDE SHUT in the wake of recent disclosures. I don’t have any grand theories, but I no longer see the closing scene in the toy store in the same benign light. Bill and Alice walk past the display for a board game called ‘The Magic Circle.’

Cash for Clunkers perfectly exemplifies the broken window fallacy in action. The government spent $3 billion to destroy 690,000 perfectly functional vehicles, claiming this would "stimulate" the economy by forcing people to buy new cars. What they actually did was obliterate billions of dollars worth of working capital that could have served lower-income families for years to come. The program artificially inflated new car sales by cannibalizing future demand and destroying the used car market. Those "clunkers" weren't junk—they were reliable transportation that mechanics could have maintained, parts suppliers could have serviced, and budget-conscious buyers could have afforded. Instead, bureaucrats decided to crush them into scrap metal to create the illusion of economic activity. This wasn't stimulus—it was capital destruction on a massive scale. Real economic growth comes from saving, investment, and the accumulation of productive assets, not from government programs that literally destroy wealth to generate temporary sales spikes. The program made cars more expensive for everyone while making transportation less accessible for those who needed it most. Every crushed engine block represented resources that could have continued serving society productively. True prosperity emerges when we preserve and efficiently allocate capital, not when we celebrate its destruction as economic policy.

I kind of disagree. I understand the reasoning behind this type of thinking, but I actually think the more you differentiate yourself from groups ascribed by race and ethnicity, the less affected you'll be. I am white, but I don't really identify as white, because it really isn't a big part of my overall personality. Of course, by not 'identifying' as white, I'm not making the argument I'm not white, therefore you must refer to me as non-white - I'm not trying to pull the racially 'non-binary' card - I'm simply suggesting the more you allow yourself to be defined by group identity, the more problems you're going to have with other people who do the same. I was talking about this with someone not too long ago, and he made the argument white people were being disenfranchised, and rather than agreeing with him or disagreeing with him - I realized the entire conversation doesn't apply to me because I'm simply playing video games and hanging out with whoever will hang out with me. Race only matters if you let it, and you allow yourself to be defined by these groups. Of course, tons of people are going to disagree with me about this, because identity politics is paramount to the world view of most people, but I find I have less problems dealing with more diverse groups of people, because I'm not thinking about it as much.. I think this clip of Gene Wu is actually really toxic, and it's a part of the problem I'm trying to avoid by not getting involved with identity politics! I think he's toxic, but I don't know if the battle is with his ethnicity as much as it is with him individually, as a toxic person. I'm a firm believer in individualism. He's the problem, not his race or ethnicity...

If they're going to vilify you as a white American, as an oppressor, and everyone else views their race as central to their identity, and they want to come together as a coalition against the "oppressor," you probably better start viewing yourself as part of a group, because they're targeting you that way.

Brian Windhorst on Ja Morant not getting traded: “When I say he has no value, I don’t even think that’s accurate. I think he has what they call in the league, negative value. Meaning teams weren’t willing to take Ja Morant unless the Grizzlies also added draft compensation” (Via @GetUpESPN)

10 years ago Pizzagate was by far the number one trending topic on twitter, but the claim of pedophile elites who preyed on children was so insane that Pizzagate was shrugged off as was a wild, fever dream, of a conspiracy theory. But then, just days ago… the largest dump of Epstein files revealed what some of us had been telling you for a decade, that Pizzagate is real. Not that there is a pizza parlor at the center of a child trafficking ring. But child trafficking rings run by some of the most powerful people in the world do exist. Tonight , I want to remind you of what I told you then and compare that to what we have now learned.
