The Defence Forces first ground-mounted solar PV array is operational in Lynch Camp, Kilworth. The installation was a joint effort by 1 Bde Engr Gp and PV Generation. The array generated more electricity than the Camp consumed on the day of handover! #LynchCampDecarbinisation

@DF_Engineers recently deployed a Military Training Team to Cyprus for a 4 week period to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces in military search and demining TTPs. This was the second deployment of this nature in 2023 as part of EUMAM hosted by @GuardCypriot

Last week, @DF_Engineers from 1 & 2 Bde Engr Gps conducted a Swiftwater Rescue Technician Course, accredited by @Rescue3europe. This qualification enables @defenceforces to deploy in ATCA to support local authorities following flooding, as happened in Co Cork back in October

@MrBillyMorton Keep an eye on our social media later this week for a bird's eye view of the changes to the FOB over the last few months @MrBillyMorton

@DF_Engineers Updated FOB looks great! Well done to all involved in the project!

Congrats to 2 Fd Engr Coy who completed the NATO OCC evaluation last week, and was deemed interoperable as a Combat Engineer Company. Following the NEL, Col McEvoy, D Engr presented all members of the Company with a commemorative @DF_Engineers challenge coin for their efforts

English

@No3OpsWing Great to have the support of @No3OpsWing and @IrishAirCorps for the duration of the exercise #interoperability #combinedarms

No 3 Ops Wing supported a Defence Forces Engineering NATO Operational Capabilities Concept National Evaluation during the week, cargo-slinging an infantry assault bridge to a location in Cork. The crew reported great professionalism on the ground. Well done to all involved.

What's the quickest way to get an Infantry Assault Bridge to FOB Sapper for operations? That's where @IrishAirCorps support comes in, with 2 Fd Engr Coy Landing Point Commanders marshalling the heli and in direct communication with the pilots throughout to ensure all goes to plan
English

@DF_Engineers Do you build dams too, like the US Army Corps of Engineers?
English

2 Fd Engr Coy's evaluation culminated yesterday with a chemical attack on one of the Pl's, testing the Company's ability to react to this threat, conduct immediate decontamination followed by a full decontamination of all armour assets and personnel #gasgasgas #survivetofight
