Enrollment at private, independent schools is rising. Those schools don't require certified teachers, and pay about $55K-$65K a year, no pension, few benefits. This is the model the Ford government is benefitting by flooding the market with more teachers who have less training.

Like it has done with nursing, the Ford government wants to make teachers gig workers and contract workers, outside the teachers union. It also wants to make sure teachers aren't active in the school and parent community, want to force teachers to move schools every few years.
