Today, I had the privilege of visiting one of the most touching service projects by @entebbestarsug at #Sure_Prospects_School in Kitale, Entebbe, where we spent time with pupils of different abilities. Our visit was not just about giving—it was about restoring hope, inspiring dreams, and reminding these incredible children that they are valued, loved, and capable of achieving great things. The smiles on their faces were a powerful reminder that even the simplest acts of kindness can transform lives. I was especially encouraged by @entebbestarsug’s commitment to continue supporting the school. They have even sparked a friendly challenge between the #Basers and the #Stars. This spirit of healthy competition in service will create an even greater impact on the lives of these learners. These children need our continued support, inclusion, and encouragement. Together, we can build a community where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Today, I had the privilege of visiting @RCMakerere and witnessing the true meaning of Service Above Self. Through their commitment to Rotary's Maternal and Child Health Area of Focus, the club donated 20 maternity beds, 1 delivery bed, 3 weighing scales, blood pressure machines, and a filing cabinet to Kawaala Health Centre IV. These are more than just donations—they represent safer deliveries, healthier mothers, stronger newborn care, and renewed hope for thousands of families. This is the kind of sustainable impact Rotary exists to create. I commend the club for identifying a critical community need and responding with compassion and action. A truly historic moment during my visit to RC Nsambya Premium as I had the honour of inducting His Eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala as an Honorary Member of the club. Welcoming a leader of such integrity, humility, and distinguished service into the Rotary family is a remarkable milestone. It reflects the club’s bold vision and commitment to attracting leaders whose lives inspire service above self. This is undoubtedly one of the year’s most significant membership achievements and sets a high standard for clubs across our district. My second club visit to @RcNsambyaPrem showcased the true meaning of lasting impact. I witnessed an inspiring women-led initiative turning waste into eco-friendly bricks under the powerful slogan, “Turning Waste into Wealth.” Rotary’s support through the provision of an electric brick-making machine and a dedicated operating space has transformed a labor-intensive process into a faster, safer, and more productive enterprise. Beyond producing quality bricks, this project is creating employment opportunities, improving community hygiene through waste management, and advancing environmental conservation. This is the kind of sustainable, visible, and tangible impact Rotary stands for—empowering communities with practical solutions that improve lives while protecting our planet.
