Sting dropped the ball. They gave him a chance to sign with WWE to face Taker at WM 27 AND a spot in the HOF. Sting declined and stayed in TNA.
By the time Sting finally showed up to WWE Vince saw how washed he was. Taker was old too. It wasn’t worth it..
