This is an extraordinary situation, and @UDOurense2014 are quite rightly furious about it. To summarise: - In the middle of the play offs, five months after the offence was committed, the RFEF have decided that 2RFEF grupo 1 champions Deportivo Fabril fielded an ineligible player in their game against @cdnumancia, and have awarded the three points to their opposition - This means that Numancia have moved above UD Ourense into third place - but the problem is that Numancia have already played and lost the play off semi final tie for which they would have had home advantage in the second leg - Numancia want the play offs to start again or to be automatically promoted - not happening but they are right to be annoyed that it has taken five months to resolve this, and only the RFEF know why they did not make this call BEFORE the play offs started - So how does this affect UD Ourense? Well, they are currently IN THE MIDDLE OF a play off final tie against @UB_Conquense and lead 1-0 from the first leg. They started the final playing against another third place team so if the second leg were to end 1-0 after 120 minutes, it would go to penalties. However, now that Ourense are officially fourth, the RFEF have informed them that their opponents will be promoted to 1RFEF if they win the second leg 1-0 after extra time as the higher placed team in the regular season. You really couldn't make it up!!
