Taking flight ✈️🦅

The boys and girls in grade 6 got into a fiery competitive battle against each other as they tested their skills navigating a Cartesian Plane. The goal? Be the first to connect 4 of their tokens. Great gaming spirit, grade 6! @DHSMarasescu @DHarkness_CBE

We took some time to have a Salad-bration, to enjoy the delicious lettuce we have been growing in our garden. We worked on some knife skills, made a balsamic vinaigrette and also used dill from the garden! Happy faces and tummies all around! @littlegrnthumbs @DHSMinia #wearecbe

It’s SALADBRATION! Grade 6 today was abuzz as we ate the gifts of our very first harvest. What a great way to appreciate why we grow our food and how it is a language of our love and friendship to each other. #HarknessHasHeart @DHSMarasescu @DHarkness_CBE @littlegrnthumbs

In working on our math fluency which includes being specific in our mathematical explanations, our grade 6s are telling me step by step how to draw a right angle triangle. Nailed it. Make sure you’re specific in your descriptions, grade 6! @DHSMarasescu @DHarkness_CBE

Poppin’ off with Pop Art! As we explore ways that we can express ourselves boldly and confidently, the grade 6’s experimented with colour in their Pop Art representations of a doughnut. I’m getting hungry just looking at this… @DHSMarasescu @DHarkness_CBE

Today we explored the world of integers by using counters to represent models of equations. Our grade 6s were eager to share their work with each other and with their class, and made sure to keep their models tidy and organized for clarity. @DHSMarasescu @DHarkness_CBE
