more people should do contour line drawings alongside gesture drawings for figure studies.... helping me lots

@stjimmyopera @b3havi0ur contour drawings (esp continous line contour) + very quick short sketches will help ur natural urge to make things very neat and accurate. the rest is ur mindset🧠

@b3havi0ur this might be a bit of a complicated question but what helped you get more loose with your art? I feel like i worry too much about if it’s “good” and it hinders me from drawing more freely

my relationship with my own art improved so much when i stopped thinking about its quality in terms of “good” vs “bad” but instead of whether or not it is an effective piece of art or not

i love music that sucks and i love making art that sucks and i love bad movies and shitty books made by shitty artists

i didnt draw for a week and now everything i draw looks like something id make in 8th grade
