The Hillcrest High School Library was recently featured on NBC DFW after book checkouts tripled following the implementation of a cellphone ban. Congratulations to Library Media Specialist Nina Canales at Hillcrest High School for helping create a library space where students are reconnecting with reading. Moments like this remind us that when distractions are removed, books naturally return to the center of student curiosity, learning, and discovery.
