It appears Covid19 is the revolution many African nations have been waiting for. It has exposed the political class (who failed to develop local health systems & can't travel abroad) and religious charlatans with no miracle cures either. People, don't let this period go to waste.

Lol. I was even surprised they gave you a placard to carry. One minute where is Wale, next minute he’s with the Nation of Islam chanting “No Justice No Peace”! 🤦🏾‍♂️ Remember it was even 2 days after they pulled you aside for extra questioning at LAX 😄 That was a fun trip sha. Asking Americans on Hollywood Boulevard where is Jim Iyke’s star on the walk of fame 😄

My Tasty Naija recently visited Tokyo, and we stopped by one of the top Nigerian restaurants in the city — Chop Life African Restaurant. It was interesting to see how much love the Japanese have for Nigerian food @djabass @djamedia @nigerianeatsuk youtu.be/wNIHqVFGKUo

The "50 best Afrobeats songs of all time" by @billboard does not have "Shako Mo" by Remedies, even though the criteria says "the most FOUNDATIONAL, influential and popular", so how in the world does the all time 50 Afrobeats tracks exclude the song that started the whole genre?! This is what happens when foreign media tell OUR stories for us and back to us. And before you point out that their "staff" who compiled the list are Nigerians, if those staff had compiled the list without the Billboard name, it wouldn't be reposted and applauded as much as it has been since they put it out. Yes, Billboard has contributed to the upward movement and globalisation of Afrobeats over the years with the US Afrobeats Songs Chart, The Billboards Awards showcasing Afrobeats performances at their awards and categories etc, but they completely dropped the ball on this list by not including "Shako Mo", and also "Wetin Dey" by Ruff Rugged & Raw (Paul IK Dairo). These 2 songs created the "fusion" of West African rhythms with Hip-Hop and the use of the "5 Beat Pattern" (the backbone of Afrobeats) respectively. "Shako Mo" by Remedies, with the iconic rap by Eedris Abdulkareem is the reason we are all here celebrating and enjoying what we call Afrobeats today. - Video clip is from the documentary Afrobeats 2: The Origins.
