I know it's just a reload, but 2 years ago, I missed 90% standing & moving reloads. If I didn't miss it, it was SLOW & Smooth, BUT it was (DAMN SLOW). I couldn't reload like other people with it high. I had to find my own way.

my first match since January. My main goal for this match is to find my benchmark. Even though I started back training this week I'm nowhere close to the level I was shooting before the academy. The good thing about it, I know how to get back. I can now see my mistakes in a match

I worked on this doing dry fire. moving hard from one spot to the next. have the gun up and ready to go when I get to a new shooting position, and have the ability to stabilize the legs getting in a new shooting position while looking at a small spot on the target to hit.

Day 2. Everything still feels off & slow. It might look good, but it's just not as consistent. Putting the work in is the only thing that's going to fix it. Someone Dm me saying slow is smooth & smooth is fast. I don't care how smooth it was. It was still slow. SLOW IS SLOW

My first non Law enforcement practice session since January. I haven't shot my CZ since January. I haven't shot a match since January. I knew i was rusty, but damn 😂😂 A ton of mistakes were made running my drills. Give me a month or 2. I should be back where I left off.

There’s no better way to get an objective assessment of your shooting skills than participating in a USPSA match. It’s a pure test of hard skills, and everyone who shoots that day gets ranked from first to last place based on how quickly and accurately they shoot each stage. There are all kinds of excuses for not participating, such as how the stages are unrealistic because you know where all the targets are in advance, they don’t shoot back, and you engage each one with a predetermined number of rounds. If you can’t shoot well under the USPSA ruleset, why would you expect to deliver when things get real?

@atl_flaneur I invited my whole department plus the chief & all the shooting instructors to come out. All i got was excuses.
