My boyfriend is one of the most blunt and honest men I’ve ever met. Just a few days after we officially started dating, he told me we needed to sit down and talk so we wouldn’t waste each other’s time. Relationships aren’t about entitlement; they’re about reciprocity. If support is optional on one side, it can’t be compulsory on the other. Love thrives when both partners give, receive, and grow together. The real love language isn’t gifts or grand gestures, it’s reciprocity. If you’re not ready to give as much as you expect to receive, you’re not ready for love.
