DJ Jackson Jr. is a 6'4 262 rusher edger transferring from Troy, who is another "instant offense" addition, if you will, in the sense that he only has 1 year of eligibility. So, he's being brought in to be plug-and-play and produce from Day 1. Jackson Jr. is from Atlanta, but went to Coffeyville, so is familiar, at least somewhat, with the region. He started his college career at Carson Newman, then went to Coffeyville, then Troy, and now OSU, with, again, 1 year left. Jackson Jr. is SUPER quick, has a nose for the ball, has great length, and is very explosive, so he'll definitely fit in on pass rushing downs. Also, between his length and explosiveness, he should bring some versatility to the table for Coach Cassity to move him around some or use him as a disguise for the offense. Definitely stuff over execution, so hopefully he can refine his pass rush mechanics, and maximize his tools, and, if that happens, his ceiling as a "disruptor" is, quite honestly, pretty exciting. #gopokes #okstate
