इस सीजन IPL की व्यूअरशिप और रेटिंग में जबरदस्त गिरावट देखने को मिल रही है। क्रिकेट फैंस में भी पहले जैसा उत्साह नजर नहीं आ रहा। अगर यही स्थिति रही, तो इसका असर IPL की इकॉनमी और उसके ब्रांड वैल्यू पर पड़ना तय है। पिछले साल ऑनलाइन गेमिंग को लेकर बने नए प्रमोशन और रेगुलेशन कानून के बाद यह पहला IPL है। इस सीजन के जो डेटा सामने आ रहे हैं, उनसे तो यही लगता है कि कहीं न कहीं गेमिंग और फैंटेसी प्लेटफॉर्म्स ही IPL को चला रहे थे। रही-सही कसर क्रिकेट को मैनेज करने वालों ने निकाल दी। क्रिकेट को पैसा देने वाली मशीन बना दिया गया, नतीजा यह हुआ कि पिछले कुछ सालों में too much cricket खेला जाने लगा। साथ ही एंटरटेनमेंट के नाम पर खेल को इतना बल्लेबाजों के पक्ष में झुका दिया गया कि गेंदबाजों के लिए बहुत कम बचा। 200 रन अब सामान्य स्कोर बनता जा रहा है, और इसी साल कई 200+ स्कोर देखने को मिले हैं। अगर एक-दो सीजन और ऐसा ही रहा, तो मैनेजमेंट स्कूलों में IPL एक केस स्टडी की तरह पढ़ाया जाएगा-कि कैसे दुनिया की सबसे सफल स्पोर्ट्स लीग्स में से एक ने अपनी ही सफलता के बोझ से दर्शकों को थकाना शुरू कर दिया।

एक सुखद पल… आजकल काम के सिलसिले में दिल्ली–जयपुर आना-जाना लगा रहता है। ऐसे में कल रात जब मैं जयपुर की चारदीवारी क्षेत्र से होकर अपने घर लौट रहा था, तब एक दृश्य ने मुझे कुछ पल के लिए ठहर जाने पर मजबूर कर दिया। मैंने देखा कि करीब दो हज़ार से अधिक सफाईकर्मी, प्रशासन के निर्देशन में, पूरी तत्परता और समर्पण के साथ जयपुर की ऐतिहासिक चारदीवारी और आसपास के क्षेत्रों को चमकाने में जुटे हुए थे। रात का समय था, लेकिन उनके काम करने की ऊर्जा और प्रतिबद्धता साफ दिखाई दे रही थी। यह दृश्य सिर्फ सफाई का नहीं था, बल्कि एक सोच, एक विज़न और अपने शहर के प्रति जिम्मेदारी का प्रतीक लग रहा था। निश्चित ही यह किसी बड़े मिशन के औपचारिक आगाज़ जैसा नहीं था, लेकिन स्वच्छ भारत मिशन की असली भावना शायद ऐसे ही पलों में दिखाई देती है, जब पूरा तंत्र एक साथ मिलकर शहर को बेहतर बनाने में जुट जाता है। सुबह जब मैंने अखबारों, सोशल मीडिया और विभिन्न तस्वीरों के माध्यम से पूरे शहर की झलक देखी, तो मेरा जयपुर सचमुच एक नई चमक के साथ दिखाई दिया। साफ-सुथरी सड़कें, व्यवस्थित चौक-चौराहे और निखरी हुई चारदीवारी देखकर मन गर्व से भर गया। ऐसा लग रहा है कि इस बार जयपुर स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षण में एक नई ऊँचाई हासिल करने की पूरी तैयारी में है। इस सराहनीय प्रयास के लिए प्रशासन, सभी सफाईकर्मियों और उन लोगों का हृदय से धन्यवाद, जो दिन-रात मेहनत करके हमारे शहर को और सुंदर, स्वच्छ और व्यवस्थित बनाने में अपना योगदान दे रहे हैं। जयपुर सिर्फ एक शहर नहीं, हमारी पहचान है… और उसे इस तरह चमकता देखना सचमुच सुखद अनुभव है। @RajCMO @PMOIndia
