540+ new stem cell donors. Two drives. One community that showed up for Judah. 🩷 Georgia Tech and Phi Mu proved that when you bring people together, the impact is undeniable. Over 540 people are now on the registry, and one of them could be the match that saves a life. Ready to bring that energy to your campus or community? Send us a message - let's make it happen!

Aaron's story just went national. 🗞️🎗️ You may have seen us talk about Aaron before: Marine Corps veteran, leukemia fighter, and one of the most determined people we've ever met. Now PEOPLE Magazine is telling his story too, and we couldn't be prouder. The more people who hear about Aaron's story, the more people who register as stem cell donors. And more donors means more matches, not just for Aaron, but for the thousands of patients waiting right now. 🩸 Read the full feature: people.com/marine-corps-l…

The incredible members of Phi Mu at Georgia Tech turned their weekly Friday coffee sales into a stem cell donor drive for Judah! Every cup sold, every swab collected, every student who stopped by that tent is now one step closer to being someone's match. We are here for it. 🥹 If your org, chapter, or crew wants to host a drive like this, send us a message. Let's get more people on the registry. ❤️

Dr. Al Malki has seen firsthand what a stem cell donation can do, like the patient he just ran into, who is 7 years post-transplant and thriving. Her donor? A DKMS donor. 🥹 City of Hope and DKMS have been working together for years to find matches for patients with blood cancer. And it starts with you. 🩸

"I feel like the luckiest person ever." 🥹 That's Vaughn, a stem cell transplant recipient who just met his donor, Johanna, for the very first time. He didn't know what to expect walking onto that stage. But what he felt in that moment? Unbelievable. 🩸 All it takes is a simple cheek swab. Learn more today at DKMS.org

For the first time ever, Vaughn got to look his stem cell donor in the eyes and say thank you. 🥹 Johanna registered as a stem cell donor through DKMS, and that decision changed everything for Vaughn. This moment happened at City of Hope's 50th Bone Marrow Transplant program anniversary, and we'll never forget it.🩸 Could you be someone's Johanna? Learn more at DKMS.org 🧬

This one hits different. 🥹❤️ You might remember Paul; he was diagnosed with AML and was searching for a stem cell match. We shared his story, you all showed up, and now we're back with the update. His daughter was a half-match, and when the time came, his doctors made the call to move forward with the best option available. ❤️ That's the reality of this journey. It's not always a perfect match. Sometimes it's the best option at the right moment, surrounded by people who love you enough to show up anyway. Paul's story is still unfolding, and it's a reminder that every registered donor matters. A half match. A full match. A stranger across the country. Any one of them could be the option that changes everything. Join the stem cell registry at dkms.org ❤️

Rosanne signed up at a concert in 2012. Over a decade later, DKMS tracked her down through multiple moves to tell her she was someone's match. 🎶 She works with kids as an instructional aide. Her recipient? A young child in the UK. She didn't know that going in, but somehow the universe knew exactly what it was doing. Every time her coordinator checked in to ask if she was still willing to wait, Rosanne's answer was the same: "Of course!!" She did it. And she'd do it 1000 times over. "Nothing compares to the feeling of knowing you have given another person a second chance at living a full, beautiful life." That could be you.

Happy Birthday to the man who turned a promise into a movement. 🎂 Peter Harf founded DKMS on May 28, 1991, not as a business decision, but as a personal one. When his wife Mechtild needed a stem cell donor, and the entire German registry had only 3,000 potential donors, Peter got to work. In one year, that number grew to 68,000. Today, DKMS has helped facilitate more than 135,000 stem cell transplants globally! Thank you, Peter, for everything you built and everyone you saved. We're honored to carry it forward. ❤️

Devin didn't plan on changing someone's life that day. He was just in line at Starbucks. ☕ That's where he first signed up as a stem cell donor. A random booth, a quick conversation, and a yes that would end up mattering more than he knew. Not once, but TWICE, Devin got the call that he was a match for a stranger in need. Oh, and in his spare time? He jumps out of planes and makes electronic music. Devin is not doing the bare minimum in life. 🪂🎵 Devin showed up both times. And if the rules allowed a third? He'd do it again. Your Starbucks run could be someone's turning point, too.

Shoutout to The Links, Incorporated for representing DKMS in Ohio last month! Founded in 1946, The Links is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations dedicated to enriching and sustaining African American communities - and that commitment showed up in a big way. Every registration they helped secure brings a patient one step closer to their match. We see you, and we are so grateful! 🙌

50 years of second chances. 🩺✨ DKMS was proud to attend City of Hope's 50th BMT Reunion, a celebration of five decades of life-saving bone marrow transplant research and the incredible community built around it. Since 1994, DKMS has helped facilitate over 1,400 stem cell donations for City of Hope patients. In 2023 alone, 101 people got a second chance at life because strangers chose to show up for them. 💙 One of the most powerful moments? Donor Johanna (25) from Germany meeting her recipient Vaughn (19) from the U.S. for the very first time. Two people. One donation. A connection that changed everything. This is why we do what we do, and why your decision to register could mean the world to someone waiting for a match right now!

“As a dad, I want the chance to see my son grow up.” Cecil has a rare blood cancer called myelofibrosis. A stem cell transplant could save his life - but the odds of finding a matching donor aren’t the same for everyone. If you’re from an underrepresented background, like Cecil - who is of Afro-Caribbean heritage - finding a match is so much harder. And that’s not okay. This is where you come in. We urgently need more people to register as stem cell donors. To register, it takes 5 minutes, 3 cheek swabs, and you could end up saving a life. If you’re ever called to donate, the process usually looks as simple as giving blood. Aged 18-55? Register today using the link in our bio! Already signed up? Send this to someone who still needs to register as a stem cell donor.
