A guy in a dress shot and killed 9 people in Canada this week while injuring 25 more. If me saying "guy in a dress" is what angers you the most about that last sentence, you've simply become part of the problem.

Something fishy about it - her first call was to AZ senator rather than police - then this ransom note thing, which never made sense given 2 deadlines - missing bro in law (hiding) - magic appearance of ring doorbell video - Fox News making it the #1 story throughout the day with minute by minute coverage Seems odd since we never hear about the other 10,000 other kidnappings that happen yearly.

Eleven days before Savannah Guthrie's mother Nancy disappeared, NBC co-workers and execs said Savannah was "in full panic mode" and "fighting to save her job." While Savannah was on a leave of absence, the show's ratings shot up--12 percent more viewers compared to the previous year. She had taken time off in late December to recover from vocal cord surgery and the show got 2.86 million viewers with her off-screen, beating ABC rival Good Morning America, according to Neilson.  "Savannah is in full panic mode. While she's been away with the vocal issue, the ratings went UP!' a source told the Daily Mail on Jan. 20, eleven days before mom Nancy went missing. According to the Mail (article linked below), the source also said Savannah was, "pushing her doctors to get her back to work as soon as possible. And so that the audience doesn't forget her, she's insisting the show tape a piece on her at home recovering." The source added of the ratings: "She keeps asking, 'Is this a fluke?' But no one's giving her a straight answer, which is making it worse." "Savannah always believed she was the glue holding the show together. The numbers going up while she's gone has seriously rattled that belief. She feels blindsided." Other sources told the outlet that Savannah was obsessively checking the ratings while she was on leave.  "She's refreshing the ratings reports like it's her full-time job right now. It's consuming her." "Her biggest fear is that this changes how NBC sees her leverage. That thought alone is keeping her up at night." The outlet also reported on Jan. 20 that those who worked on the show reported a more relaxed, organic, warmer environment on set.  "Without Savannah, the vibe shifted immediately. It stopped feeling like a classroom and started feeling like a group of equals," another source told the outlet.  "There's less tension on set now. No one's worried about stepping out of line or getting corrected mid-conversation." Savannah makes a reported $8 million a year co-hosting the Today Show and her contract appears to be up soon--it was last renewed in 2020 and 2016.  All in all, the story of Nancy's disappearance keeps getting stranger. And Savannah is now at the center of the greatest drama in the country.

@JillFilipovic Targeting high-rate offenders makes sense in theory. But crime trends are influenced by more than policing levels economics, drugs, family instability, education, and community trust all play roles. Focusing on just one lever might oversimplify a complex issue.

@JillFilipovic We’re told not to believe our lyin’ eyes. Recall when a certain famous politician told us rioters were ransacking stores because they “needed bread?” We’re also told that property crimes are non-punishable because it’s “only property.” People do what they can get away with.

MS-13 Illegals Just Hacked a 14-Year-Old to Death in Maryland: To the activists and politicians chanting “abolish ICE” — do this one thing: Look the 14-year-old’s mother in the face and say it. Say you don’t support the agency that exists to deport violent criminals before innocent lives are taken. Four illegal aliens connected to MS-13 were arrested in Maryland after allegedly hacking a 14-year-old boy to d*ath with a machete. This isn’t political theory. This isn’t rhetoric. This is a child who will never come home and a mother left to bury her son. This is why we stand with ICE. So violent criminals are removed before they destroy families. So tragedies like this don’t happen.

I am a big believer in reading the Word of God OUTLOUD. The Bible is not a normal book. It's not like Shakespear, or C.S. Lewis, or Tolkien . The Word of God is supernatural. It existed even before creation. When we recite the Word, we are injecting the supernatural into the natural. The words from our mouth permeate the environment and change the atmosphere. Big fan.

Every generation since the cross has believed the Lord was returning imminently, and that current events attested to that. But this generation has one thing that previous ones did not. The reestablishment of the nation of Israel.

Scott Adams, 68, "Dilbert" creator, just passed away today from cancer. Praying for his family as they mourn his loss. Normally I wouldn't use this opportunity to correct poor theology, but I believe there's something sinister here in his final message that Christians to be aware of. Scott wrote, "I'm not a believer, but I have to admit the risk-reward calculation for doing so looks attractive. So, here I go: I accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior." This doesn't look harmful initially. How could it possibly be? There's two key reasons: 1. According to his wording, he went to Jesus for the wrong reasons. He came to Christ because of the "risk-reward calculation." He didn't want to risk the possibility of going to Hell and missing on Heaven. To put it bluntly, it appears that he didn't come to Jesus because he knew he was a sinner deserving of Hell, but rather because he wanted the benefits Jesus offers. I of course can't say this for certain, but this is what he appears to be saying. This isn't a small matter. Jesus rebuked people for doing this very thing: "Truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled" (John 6:26). If you go to Jesus for anything other than Jesus himself, you won't truly be saved—even if you claim him as your Lord and Savior. "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 7:21). 2. This final message implies a damning lie: that repeating a phrase will get you to Heaven. Many people stake their eternity on the fact that they "prayed the prayer," or that they walked up to the altar on Easter Sunday years ago to "accept Jesus" even though nothing in their lives ever changed. But nowhere in the Bible does it say that that's how someone is saved. Only when someone genuinely repents of their sins and places their trust in Jesus alone can someone be saved (Luke 13:3; Acts 16:31). In other words, if someone doesn't authentically feel the weight of their sin against a holy God, grasp that their good deeds can never outweigh their bad deeds, and that the only way to be saved is sincerely placing your trust in the resurrected Christ, they're not going to Heaven. Not just writing words that you accept him, not merely acknowledging him with your lips, but authentically, on a soul level, clinging to Jesus with your whole heart because you recognize that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins on the cross and that only his perfect righteousness is enough to be in the presence of God. False conversions are real, and we don't talk about it enough. These are people who “profess to know God, but they deny him by their works” (Titus 1:16). In other words, a false convert is someone who thinks they’re saved, but has never truly been born again. I'm not saying Scott isn't in Heaven. There is an example of a death-bed salvation in the Bible with the thief on the cross, so it is certainly possible. But my concern is that like many, he "prayed the prayer" and "said the words" in the hopes of inheriting eternal life. And tragically, the Scriptures are clear: if this is the case, genuine salvation didn't take place. The new birth didn't occur. He will hear, "Depart from me." And perhaps more tragically, because of his final message, millions of people will think that it'd be wise for them to say they accept Jesus so that just in case he's real, they too will go to Heaven. But nothing could be further from the truth. This won't get them to Heaven. It'll get them to Hell. I pray Scott did truly become born again. And if you're reading this, you're alive, which means there's still hope for you. If you've ever told a lie, you're a liar. If you've ever stolen, you're a thief. If you've ever disrespected your parents, been selfish, or greedy, or gluttonous, or prideful, you have sinned against a holy God, and you're headed for Hell. But if you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus, the Son of God, who died on the cross to take God's punishment for sin in the place of all who trust in him and then rose again on the third day, you will be washed clean as snow. You will go to Heaven not because you're good, but because you have Jesus' perfect righteousness. Get right with God today. "Now is the day of salvation!" (2 Corinthians 6:2)
