On the actual crash, I sold a small batch of items I had multiple off to arbitrage and rebuy in China, only I forgot my balance was still frozen🫡💀 A few of them: - Karambit Ruby 0.01 at 6.5k when it was 4.5k 0.005 on UU (now 10k+) - FT Hedge Maze .2 at 3k when it was 2.1k on UU now 6k+ - M9 Sapphire 0.01 at 4.3k when it was 3.3k on UU now 7k+ In retrospect, even if my balance was available to repurchase my idea to arbitrage was not very smart as these items would have 99% been reversed. To the buyers of these, congrats on the guaranteed no reversal🤠 This epidemic of reversals is obviously temporary because of the enormous volatility, but nonetheless it currently makes sense to spend time looking into the seller. The more transactions and items they have, the less likely it is they will reverse and lock their account from trading for an entire month. Marketplaces will undoubtedly need to adapt over time- for now the best practice is to eliminate the likelihood of a trade reversal by being picky on who/where you buy from

If scammers took the time to find rage bait posts and go through the replies to specifically target the ones that fall for them, I have zero doubt they would have a much higher success rate

I did not, I had actually sold a few reds recently that woukd have 5-10x overnight. That said, I somehow got extremely lucky and sold my knives and gloves just a few weeks before the update. I was actually just following the insane price increase to all gloves at that time. Bought some Bronze gloves for $93 and only a month later sold them for $450. Im almost never right with timing, but got really lucky as that was one of about 50 items I had that 2-5x in 1-3 months prior to the update.

Worst thing out of everything is Valve just created the single most degenerate gambling frenzy for knives I am very invested in skins, obviously it is not looking great but nonetheless I feel pretty calm- will sit back and see how things unfold However, I know many people will/are not coping well - please look out for each other - things will be alright💞

@zipelCS I have been very active over the past month with trading. Willing to bet a large sum of money a group of people knew about the update. I got lucky and was unloading knives and gloves. 300-400% increase in less than 28 days... on reds that never moved? Idk ...

Deleted one of the points in the tweet about whether people bought into the coverts prior, the fact that most revolved around glove cases and chameleons were sitting at 1 dollars etc. I do not think its good that I add to some conspiracy theory about whether people knew or not. The only thing that logically triggers me, and drove me to point it out, is that some covert ST skins for the first time within the past month were priced half of regular FN.

@Sebuary Button shooting, hold button down, look at the animation and release at the same timing window every time. Rhythm shooting, you have to repeat the same tempo... while also being within a slightly larger window of time. Seems like some people lack rhythm?

Im Sorry.. But DEFENDING rythm shooting has to stop, You will understand why it doesnt take skill after this....
