“give yourself a lot of shots to get lucky” is even better advice than it appears on the surface. luck isn’t an independent variable but increases super-linearly with more surface area—you meet more people, make more connections between new ideas, learn patterns, etc.

It’s not about how hard you work, but where you work hard. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but it’s likely you could be making significantly more money, with less effort, if you targeted larger markets, higher spending markets or less saturated markets. Learn life.

Expect less, appreciate more

There is no cool way to chase your dreams. it’s ugly, difficult, and embarrassing.

Expect nothing. Appreciate everything.

Be ignorant about the past. Realistic about the present. Delusional about the future.

The older I get, the more I realise everything really is that deep The people you work with everyday, the energy of those you date, the friends you trust, the opportunities you take, the content you watch & food you consume. There’s no such thing as an insignificant choice.

Modern-day wealth isn't built on old-school thinking. It's built on newfound opportunity. That's why the new rich get called scammers and cheaters. Their wealth doesn't make sense. People can't admit to themselves that what their parents & teachers told them doesn't work.
