Artemis II is not just going "to the Moon," but rather traveling to meet it at an exact point in space. It’s all about orbital mechanics. x.com/_NafayFarooq/s…

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

🥹 —> that is spot on! I don’t even have the words for us FINALLY having astronauts up there on this mission!! I think my brain was low-key generating some sort of National Lampoon’s or The Onion type of story to cope …liiike… Democratic or Republican Party “wins back the presidency” and throws NASA engineers a “curveball“ in a “shocking plot twist” where they will now “skip past the Moon and Mars ‘since we already talked about it so much’ and will embark on a trip to Venus by 2050” .. something like that ..😂 I’m just so glad that we’re finally HERE at this huge milestone! The radio coms, the photos, the excitement of everyone.. It’s absolutely beautiful!!

I want everyone to be able to try and chase/try to chase.. but there is a lot to be said towards something like the DOW needing a bit more priority..or people being reckless leading to some “safety measure” legislation occurring to try and stop people from being allowed to chase and so on.. Like with anything, if you want to do this stuff at any level, whether you’re new or not, one HAS to realize that there are people who are professionals and they’ve seen some horrendous things, maybe even done some as well, and there is expertise present…but these storms DO NOT CARE about you.. they are STORMS.. and whether on your 1st chase or your 1000th chase, ALLL eyes are gonna be involved on an accident if one occurs PLUS if an accident gets involved with a news channel vehicle, regardless of how long they’ve been doing it, is gonna be considered “an amateur chaser” The more people that do this, the more everyone has to work together and try to respect what’s happening! Getting involved in 100 mph crash with another a family trying to leave, a stationary object or another chaser is something that everyone needs to take seriously, always (INCLUDING the news channels) Everyone needs to go out there and be a part of the world, but everyone really does have to do their part.. at any level.. to make sure people that are relying on the data people are providing for taking shelter via YouTube or local news, etc. aren’t affected, as well as the community that they are or want to be a part of as well.. which includes a town or city that they are inside of during an event., Have fun, stay safe, don’t be a statistic and do your best to make sure you’re always trying to be better at what you do. I always keep in mind that some mistakes have a way greater weight behind them than others! Happy chasing and stay safe everyone!
