నిమ్స్ కేన్సర్ బ్లాక్‌లో సుమారు 33 కోట్లతో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన నూతన LINAC (linear accelerator) సేవలను ఆరోగ్యశాఖ మంత్రి దామోదర్ రాజనర్సింహ ప్రారంభించారు. అనంతరం మహిళల కేన్సర్ స్క్రీనింగ్ క్యాంపును మంత్రి ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సేవలపై వైద్య ఆరోగ్య మంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ NIMSలో అత్యాధునిక LINAC సేవలను ఈరోజు ప్రారంభించుకున్నామని, దీంతో క్యాన్సర్ రోగులకు ఖచ్చితమైన రేడియేషన్ చికిత్స అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చిందని అన్నారు NIMSలో LINAC సేవల ప్రారంభంతో తెలంగాణలో క్యాన్సర్ చికిత్స మరింత బలోపేతం అవుతోంది. ఈ ఆధునిక సాంకేతికతతో ట్యూమర్‌పై మాత్రమే ప్రభావం చూపించి, ఆరోగ్య కణజాలాన్ని కాపాడే చికిత్స అందించగలుగుతున్నాం. TrueBeam సిస్టమ్‌తో తక్కువ సమయంలోనే మెరుగైన ఫలితాలు సాధించే అవకాశం కల్పించాం. క్యాన్సర్ కేసులు పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో ఆధునిక వైద్య సదుపాయాలను మరింత విస్తరిస్తున్నాం. రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రతి సంవత్సరం 55 వేల నుంచి 60 వేల కొత్త క్యాన్సర్ కేసులు నమోదవుతున్నాయి, ఇది ఆందోళన కలిగించే విషయం. క్యాన్సర్‌ను ప్రారంభ దశలో గుర్తిస్తే పూర్తిగా నయం చేయవచ్చని ప్రజల్లో అవగాహన పెంచుతున్నాం. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలకు కూడా క్యాన్సర్ చికిత్స అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకువచ్చే దిశగా చర్యలు చేపట్టాం. అన్ని జిల్లా కేంద్రాల్లో డే కేర్ క్యాన్సర్ కేంద్రాలను ఏర్పాటు చేసి సేవలను విస్తరిస్తున్నాం. ములుగు, ఆదిలాబాద్ వంటి మారుమూల ప్రాంతాల్లో కూడా కీమోథెరపీ సేవలు అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకువచ్చాం. 46 లక్షల స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాల మహిళలకు ఆరోగ్య పరీక్షలు నిర్వహించడం ద్వారా ముందస్తు వ్యాధి నిర్ధారణకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తున్నాం. ఈరోజు నుంచి నిమ్స్‌లో మహిళల కేన్సర్ స్క్రీనింగ్ క్యాంపును ప్రారంభించుకున్నాం. మహిళల ఆరోగ్యాన్ని దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని HPV టీకా కార్యక్రమాన్ని రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా అమలు చేస్తున్నాం. 14 నుంచి 15 ఏళ్ల బాలికలకు ఉచితంగా HPV టీకా అందిస్తూ గర్భాశయ క్యాన్సర్ నివారణకు కృషి చేస్తున్నాం. ఈరోజు కేన్సర్‌ను నోటిఫైబుల్ వ్యాధిగా ప్రకటిస్తున్నాం. తద్వారా ప్రతి కేన్సర్ కేసును నమోదు చేసే విధానం తీసుకువస్తున్నాం. క్యాన్సర్ రిజిస్ట్రీ ద్వారా ఖచ్చితమైన డేటాతో మెరుగైన ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించగలుగుతాం. పేదలకు కూడా అధునాతన చికిత్స అందించే లక్ష్యంతో ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రులను బలోపేతం చేస్తున్నాం. పాలియేటివ్ కేర్ సేవలను అన్ని ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రుల్లో అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకువచ్చాం. క్యాన్సర్‌పై పోరాటం కేవలం ప్రభుత్వ బాధ్యత కాదు, ప్రతి ఒక్కరి భాగస్వామ్యం అవసరం అని మంత్రి అన్నారు
