Minister Mantashe, officially hands over two Social and Labour Plan (SLP) projects to the Bapo Ba Mogale Community in North West. The two Sibanye-Stillwater initiatives, comprising a Livestock Improvement Programme and a Bee Farming Project.

It gives me great pleasure to handover the livestock communal farmers on behalf of Sibanye-Stillwater & the mining industry as part the Marikana Livestock Improvement Programme. The project will provide support to emerging farmers by revitalising livestock production in the area.

Lithana Holdings owner, Kelebogile Hoeane, says she was encouraged by deputy minister Mgcina’s oversight visit to her mine. The visit gave deputy minister an opportunity to learn about the impact the mine has made since it resumed operations.

A small scale mining fund beneficiary, Mojalefa, says the funding he received from the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has assisted him to make headway in his operations.
