@BasilTheGreat @M_campbellphoto Where in this video is the RNLI boat? The government funding to the RNLI is for the Lifeguard Service on the beaches and of the people who crossed the channel and needed assistance, the RNLI assisted about 3%. Other agencies assisted the other 97%

@Anmaidrinrua @StephenNolan @gordonlyons1 @BBCiPlayer It sounds like medical retirement. Which means he would receive a smaller pension than if he continued in his job. It is not unusual for a member of the emergency services to retire from their job then find employment elsewhere and still have access to their pension.

@EastEnglandAmb Lovely photo, Merry Christmas🎄 . Is thats a stray set of NIAS paramedic epaulettes on the jacket (Chloe’s)? 😁 Haven’t seen a yellow stripe on any other service’s paramedic epaulettes (except LAS thin NQP stripe). It is a handy addition as you can spot the grade from a distance

@DM_jrtfan Yes, fully submit your application, along with evidence of CPD and any additional training. PHECC assessors will be able to advise on any additional steps required if necessary.

I am delighted to finally receive my Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council NQEMT - Paramedic certificate, meaning I am now a dual registered Paramedic in both Ireland & the UK!

@benmalone31 Cool, so you would be able to do a sort of ‘top-up’ course alongside length of service to get yourself registered as an Advanced Paramedic? Its something Ive wondered about.
English

@DM_jrtfan Yes Dayna, roughly speaking:
•HCPC Paramedic = PHECC AP
•UK EMT = PHECC P
This is assessed on an individual basis (experience, education, skills, qualifications etc).

@irish_news Lots of young people from NI want to be doctors but there aren’t enough university courses or training spots available.
English

@irish_news Because when they graduate they are allocated a destination anywhere in the UK to do their 2 years foundation and, minimum, 3 years speciality training. Listen to the accents in hospitals, majority are from England, so its once they’ve done their training, they are going home.
