@BasilTheGreat @M_campbellphoto Where in this video is the RNLI boat? The government funding to the RNLI is for the Lifeguard Service on the beaches and of the people who crossed the channel and needed assistance, the RNLI assisted about 3%. Other agencies assisted the other 97%

I'm pleased to say that when it was revealed the RNLI were ferrying illegals into the country their donations dropped off a cliff However the Government are paying them now instead The government funding of charities needs to stop

@Anmaidrinrua @StephenNolan @gordonlyons1 @BBCiPlayer It sounds like medical retirement. Which means he would receive a smaller pension than if he continued in his job. It is not unusual for a member of the emergency services to retire from their job then find employment elsewhere and still have access to their pension.

@EastEnglandAmb Lovely photo, Merry Christmas🎄 . Is thats a stray set of NIAS paramedic epaulettes on the jacket (Chloe’s)? 😁 Haven’t seen a yellow stripe on any other service’s paramedic epaulettes (except LAS thin NQP stripe). It is a handy addition as you can spot the grade from a distance

Dad-daughter duo on duty! Last year, Chloe Price picked up an overtime shift just to work with her paramedic father, David, on Christmas Day. 40 years in the job, and he says that shift was his favourite! They're working Christmas day this year too, but in different counties.

@DM_jrtfan Yes, fully submit your application, along with evidence of CPD and any additional training. PHECC assessors will be able to advise on any additional steps required if necessary.

@benmalone31 Cool, so you would be able to do a sort of ‘top-up’ course alongside length of service to get yourself registered as an Advanced Paramedic? Its something Ive wondered about.

@DM_jrtfan Yes Dayna, roughly speaking: •HCPC Paramedic = PHECC AP •UK EMT = PHECC P This is assessed on an individual basis (experience, education, skills, qualifications etc).

@irish_news Lots of young people from NI want to be doctors but there aren’t enough university courses or training spots available.

@irish_news Because when they graduate they are allocated a destination anywhere in the UK to do their 2 years foundation and, minimum, 3 years speciality training. Listen to the accents in hospitals, majority are from England, so its once they’ve done their training, they are going home.

…the concern. With the recent changes in resuscitation guidelines, the nearest M-CPR device being up to 50miles away and no HEMS/APCC overnight for senior clinical advice, more patients transported under CPR long distances will be a risk to crew safety and reduce CPR quality 2/2

I see the AHA recommendation of removing M-CPR as a routine intervention is going down as expected. As someone living in a country where the nearest hospital can be at least 40mins away, and the option of access to an M-CPR device being slim to none, I can understand….. 1/2
