While listening to the OSU pregame show on The Fan this morning, @DPo8 made a great point while talking about Curt Cignetti’s recent success at IU: culture has to be built, it can't be bought. That’s true in sports, and it’s just as true in business. Too often companies think culture comes from pizza parties, free t-shirts, or a fun Friday event. But real culture is built on things that matter: open communication, fairness, trust, and consistency. If you want to change your culture, you can’t buy it. You have to build it, one decision, one policy, and one conversation at a time.

The point that the NCAA couldn't determine the level of impact the cheating had is irrelevant. It's just a way to explain that they don't carry the power they once did. Because the intent to cheat and the cover-up in the past would be enough.
