As a DeafBlind person, I feel torn about the trend of people describing their physical appearance during meetings for those who are blind/low vision. I appreciate the effort to make things more accessible and inclusive. Truly & deeply, but-- 1/

One thing I did not anticipate about moving to an R1 was just how psychologically damaging being in proximity to so much violent autism research would be I can't drive to campus without thinking about how my employer is invested in people like me not existing
