@JakeMGrumbach Avg home sales price also increased 50% between 2019-2022, so those of us that have been saving since 2019 for a home are pretty pissed that we're further from being able to buy a home now than we were years ago, even if we've been saving and had income increases the entire time.

I do! — Think of dress as social language — Buy less, buy better — Wear a finishing layer — Advocate for affordable housing so you can buy cool outfits — Advocate for universal healthcare so you can wear cool outfits — Advocate for walkable neighborhoods so ppl can see ur outfit

Okay I am not defending these two but holy shit. Does this guy have any other fashion advice other than "I don't know, maybe try a loose fit."

@sweetsteppers no, every American has a god-given right to a private burrito taxi. this is the exact reason why Trump won the election and if he doesn’t bring the prices down his popularity will crumble

It's hard to comprehend how difficult Ohio State's path was to become national champions. Following an inexplicable loss to Michigan, the Buckeyes defeated No. 9 Tennessee, No. 1 Oregon, No. 5 Texas and No. 7 Notre Dame en route to the title. That's as tough as it gets.

One thing I’ve noticed is the right radicalizes people *into* voting while the far left radicalizes people out of voting. The right says “the deep state is holding you down” “ feminists and are out to get you and dilute your manhood” “trans people are out to get your kids” “POC are taking over your country and taking your jobs”…. And the only way to stop them is to vote for us. On the far left you hear “both sides are the same, they’re both bad” “democrats never do anything” “America is evil and unredeemable” “the system is rigged against us and can’t be changed” “voting won’t change anything”. With these dynamics it was obvious the right would gain power over the left. One side valuing political power while the other side rejects it; a dynamic we have to reverse

@JakeMGrumbach @Anusien @hakeemjefferson As in, you can get the average age of lawmakers for all of those countries and the median age of population for all of them, but not the median age of lawmakers for all of them or the average population age of all of them?

@Anusien @hakeemjefferson Data availability for non-US countries is the reason. Check out the paper for the US microdata (means, medians, variances, everything you want)

Montana is the clearest place to see the nationalization of US politics. Dem ticket was multigenerational MT hunters & farmers & gun manufacturers in bolo ties. GOP slate was outta state tech. Whole race was dominated by natl culture war & southern border, GOP sweep
