The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has strengthened its enforcement actions across the state, sealing a number of facilities for persistent environmental violations, particularly noise pollution and other infractions against established environmental standards.
The enforcement exercise, carried out on Thursday, November 27, spanned several strategic locations including Mushin, Gbagada, Ifako-Ogudu Bridge, and Opebi, Ikeja.
Among the affected establishments are hotels, lounges, a fitness center, a bakery, religious centers, and tiles and marbles outlet found culpable of disregarding environmental compliance requirements.
The sealed facilities included: Polite Anchorage & Suites, The Headquarters, Adun Suites, Robo Fitness, Niteshift Coliseum, Tiles and Marbles Shop, Christ Apostolic Missions, Preserve Hotel, and Christ Covenant Apostolic Church.
During the operation, the General Manager of LASEPA, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, reiterated the agency’s firm determination to safeguard the environment and ensure full adherence to regulations across Lagos State.
“Noise pollution and other environmental violations directly affect the well-being and overall quality of life of our residents. Today’s enforcement activity reinforces our commitment to enforcing environmental laws and sustaining a cleaner, healthier Lagos,” Dr. Ajayi said.
He urged residents, business owners, and facility managers to comply with all environmental provisions, emphasizing that LASEPA will continue to uphold its zero-tolerance stance on environmental breaches in line with the government’s drive toward a safer sustainable, and livable Lagos State.

Today, I delivered the keynote address at the Africa Climate Finance Day (ACFD) 3.0, and the message was direct; Lagos is on the frontlines of climate challenges, and resilience is no longer an option. It is an urgent responsibility.
Over the last months, we have taken bold steps to match vision with action. We developed the Lagos Climate Action Plan, the Lagos Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan, and the Lagos Climate Finance Plan in partnership with global bodies including the UK Government, C40 Cities, and KPMG. We have also launched the Lagos Climate Investment Opportunities Diagnostic to translate climate ambition into bankable projects in priority sectors like waste management, transport, energy, water and the built environment.
We are already collaborating with global institutions such as the World Bank, AfDB, UNDP, UNEP, the Green Climate Fund and others to unlock climate financing at scale. And we continue to deepen engagement with local and international private sector partners because public resources alone cannot close the climate gap.
Lagos is ready.
Ready for investment.
Ready for innovation.
Ready to lead Africa’s subnational climate movement and build a cleaner, safer and more resilient city for over 20 million residents.
The work continues.

We hosted The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward Anthony Richard Louis, at the Nigerian Excellence Evening and Gold Award Presentation yesterday.
The Award is a transformative journey that nurtures confidence, builds resilience and instils in each participant a profound sense of responsibility to their communities and to the world.
I am very proud of every young Lagosian who has embraced this challenge and committed themselves to excellence. Your dedication is a powerful testament to what determination, creativity and a willingness to learn can achieve.
As a government, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating platforms that allow young people to learn, lead, innovate and thrive. Lagos will continue to champion opportunities that shape individuals into leaders who will define the next chapter of our progress.

@jon_d_doe When most men prioritize looks(big bumbum, voluptuous boobs, fine face etc) over integrity, empathy, meekness......what do we expect? A beautiful woman is a full package not some sexually attractive insidious being. The fear of God is what our generation desperately needs.
English

@mo_mo081 @APTITUDES13 @DukeDarls @maxvayshia Better for you bro, you see this "strategic planning" dem no get competition. Dem sabi position theirselves wella, I'm currently dating one now. She's trying so hard to prove herself lol but I'm wiser now. Na just to hold body make konji no for kill person
English

It's actually very simple, criminals and mismanagement of power in the country is a big cause, in most countries this state of the country would have caused a riot and protest SINCE, but as Nigeria is so docile with everything, we simply "ADJUST", now women definitely will NOT protest the state of the economy and say "the economy is hard and our men can't marry and take care of us", soo the hypergamy will kick in, and they'll ask themselves "who are the big spenders ?, odogwuno silencio ? (Odogwu silencer in italian 🇮🇹) ??, who are those that can AFFORD to "ADJUST" ??," that's where we'll go even if we will share him... (all 20+ of us).
Now this hypergamy and its bags and benefits will be posted online (as per, Online peppering committee OPC) and thus varying ladies will begin to feel they're lacking, and since their friends and other ladies can get nice things (bags and benefits) they should too... but then the constant K here is, Government and making your life a living hell, but that's not a concern of the ladies of the OPC (Online Peppering Committee), "either press money or Getaaat", now since only so few can "press that money" and there are so many that should "getaaaat" what you get is the tweet I'm quoting...
Now, what's the solution... either we all come together men and women and say no to bad governance so men can afford to take care of women and date.... or make everybody just.......
GETAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!

@Isab33lla @Ejiro_OS He is a hustla using it to atrract media attention to himself and possibly onyibo and ngo money and public exposure for collabos and settlements from Naija politicians
English

@Ejiro_OS Then why market it as charity targeting underprivilege children?
Why ask for donations using those children?
When Nigerians first started donating, trended it & Paris Hilton raised $100k do you think she donated because she thought children living in Ikoyi wld be the recipients?
English

@Isab33lla @busuyi_dsa He is a hustla using it as a ploy to attract onyibo and ngo funds and publicity and awareness to himself and to Politicians

@Karigwe @busuyi_dsa He is a hustler using ngo decoy to try and atract ngo funds and attention and resources and media and politician attention
Ikeja, Nigeria 🇳🇬 English

When I said Nigerians don’t really want good governance but rather power that benefits them, this is exactly the kind of example I meant.
You call yourself a philanthropist who cares about children in the slums, yet you visited the very man whose party has thrown over 20 million children out of school and left millions more at risk of dying from malnutrition.
If you truly cared about those children, you wouldn’t be visiting Tinubu, you’d have told him to meet you in the slums. That’s where the children are. That’s where the suffering is. But of course, optics and recognition matter more than principle these days.
Let’s be honest, if you truly cared about good governance for these poor kids, you wouldn’t be smiling beside a president whose administration is choking the nation. Fela, Chinua Achebe, and other real patriots would never accept an invitation from such a leader, let alone show up bearing gifts.
You’re a chess master, yet you didn’t see that this was a political chess move by Tinubu. Just like Davido, you’ve now been used; whether you realise it or not as part of a subtle celebrity endorsement strategy.
It hurts to say, but Nigerians are not politically smart. We’re swayed by recognition and personal interest. That’s why the same people keep winning. That’s why so-called “good governance activists” keep preaching, “Don’t make enemies because of politics.” You say you want good governance, but you’re trying to stay friends with people who are comfortable with a government that’s killing Nigerians.
Let’s not lie, you don’t care about Nigeria. You’re just looking for an opportunity to join the ruling class. A person who truly feels the weight of what ordinary Nigerians are going through will never be seen laughing with the people responsible for our pain or their supporters.
At this rate, we’ll never wrestle power from their hands.
