GOVT TWEAKS LPG RULES. PNG USERS TO LOSE LPG ELIGIBILITY The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has updated rules under the Essential Commodities Act, stating that households with a Piped Natural Gas connection will no longer be eligible for domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas cylinders. Consumers currently holding both PNG and LPG connections will be required to surrender their LPG connection, and LPG refill bookings will not be permitted.
