@ryanbooth the best definition I've settled on for 'art' is very broad, so I have to include my work in that, even if (brace yourself) it's a tiktok. but I don't use the term 'artist' to describe myself, even if technically (& reluctantly) I believe that I make art

would you consider yourself an "artist"? what is the value of art? do you think about your role in defining that term?

Good to remember: The AVERAGE person DOESN'T comment. Comments come from a stronger than average response to you - positive or negative. So take it all with a grain of salt. You're not as ugly or stupid as they say you are, and probably not as smart and hot either. 🙃

I just watched a video that contained some of the freshest 'how to make good videos/documentaries/films' advice I've heard in years. Not exaggerating. replying with the youtube link below ↓

this abomination of a youtube layout... (...only showed up once. overall, my youtube home page experience has been improving but that feels like a weird thing to post about)

at a film festival, and one film had really quiet dialogue. After the film, I ask the people next to me if they thought it was a creative choice or tech error. Both say they liked it, suited the story. Then we hear an announcement "sorry, it wasn't supposed to sound like that"
