My decision not to watch the NCAA Tournament this year as K-State is not an active participant and instead focus my writing on other K-State sports has sparked some discussion. Listen, enjoy the tournament. I hope to be writing about a NCAA Tournament game in 2027.

Travis Geopfert is named USTFCCCA Midwest Region Men’s Indoor Coach of the Year on Thursday after the men finish No. 4 and the women No. 7 at the NCAA Indoor Championships. One of the best turnarounds in K-State athletics history. Geopfert has been at K-State for 19 months.

There are K-State fans tailgating in the parking lot before the women’s basketball team faces Georgia Tech tonight. K-State fans absolutely love sports. And tailgating. And sports so they can participate in tailgating.

I don’t worry about clicks. Just enjoy the stories. That’s all that matters.

Three years ago today Markquis Nowell knelt near midcourt in prayer. Not everyone caught the moment. But Markquis knelt. He gave it all to God. A great moment. Then he went out and had one of the most amazing NCAA Tournaments in K-State history.
