@rationalyankee @RealMichaelKay Those fans are literally ignorant, entitled “fans” that know very little about the game. They play MLB The Show and think they can do it in real life. There are still a large portion of us out here that love the team and love watching games.

Thank you, @RealMichaelKay. I’ve been saying this for years and it’s one of the reasons I created my account. I actually like the Yankees. There aren’t enough voices out there from Yankees fans who act like they actually enjoy watching the Yankees. The issue is that the New York attitude of “win or we’ll boo you out of the city” doesn’t jive with how baseball works anymore. But it’s much easier for fans to whine and complain about the people in charge than it is to admit that the game has evolved both on and off the field in a way that makes replicating the 90s dynasty almost impossible. I want the Yankees to win a title as bad as anyone. But it’s harder to win a World Series now than it ever has been and I’m not going to ignore that just so I can throw people under the bus.
