If Gawuna had stayed in the ADC, he could have been the governorship aspirant by now, with higher chances of winning. Now that he has joined the NDC, they have reduced him to a Senate aspirant with little chance of winning.

Gawuna made an irreversible political miscalculation. He left APC for ADC and later left ADC for NDC. He left APC, a party that could have given him the governorship ticket in 2031, to join ADC, a party that will give him the ticket in 2027. A wise decision. Unfortunately, he left ADC for NDC, a party that may only give him the governorship ticket in 2035—if he remains loyal and obedient to Kwankwaso and his political aesthetics. Gawuna lost it all.
