@KenCarman Something to create jobs. Not ‘entertainment districts’. We have several that have failed. How about a more comprehensive dock yard? A ship yard? Otherwise, it should stay an airport. We need payroll tax revenue to fund all the failing infrastructure, not a downtown beach. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@ginaprodankelly While I appreciate your positivity, trees will do nothing right on the lakefront for multiple soccer fields. A 5-story high stadium cannot block the lake’s winds. Ask any NFL kicker since 1946. Frequent rescheduling of games and/or tournaments would kill that as a serious venue.

@DStusek You’d be amazed at what well-planned trees can do for mitigating the wind.

I haven’t seen this concept & kinda love it. As a multi-sports parent, I think the youth tournaments you could hold there (with more willful hotel stays & great food stops than expensive middle-of-nowhere tournaments that are the norm) would pay for this in like 5 years 😅

Hi @FlyFrontier! Did your employees really kick a deaf woman off the plane for not paying attention to the flight attendants’ instructions which she couldn’t even hear??

@TonyDungy That’s quite disappointing. I truly looked forward to your insights. As I’m sure many would agree, wherever you choose to go, we hope you’re happy & appreciated. At some point we’ve passed the point of no return: sports commentators with educated insights Vs. entertainers. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have been informed by NBC that I won’t be back with FNIA this fall and it has given me time to reflect and also to look ahead.    It’s disappointing  news but I want to thank my NBC family for making the last 17 years so special.  I’ll have lasting memories of my time there, especially with Rodney Harrison who has become a tremendous friend.   God has always directed me in these moments and while I’m not sure what the next step will be for me—whether it will be in football, in broadcasting, or getting more involved in church and community outreach —I know God has plans for my life and I can’t wait see them unfold. And I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in the Bible-Romans 8:28. “God works all things for His good for those who love the Lord.”

@Vince_Cellini Every. Damn. Day. 🤦🏻‍♂️ …I honestly would rather trade him away for a bag of used footballs, so we don’t have to listen to this drivel on repeat.

@cleprosoccer @SceneSallard Questions from a local soccer family. Who are the teams they are aligning with to bridge the gap between Academy/club and MLS? They’ll need local players to foster a better fan connection to the club. Still proposing a separate stadium than the women?

There already is a Forest City FC. We wanted to honor their space and have room for both. Plus, FC Cleveland was the second most-coveted name when we ran surveys and focus groups. It’s on the opposite end of the creative spectrum. So, we found a way to incorporate both without watering it down.

@NickWilsonSays He doesn’t say anything logical. Who’s asking him if he’d expect their salaries to be prorated, or how they’d negotiate giving advertising money back. Less games equals less revenue. Every team employee would also have to take a pay cut. It’s math. Overinflated sense of self.

@TaylorTwellman Collegiate athletics is a grift; -Reducing roster sizes so more kids get an opportunity!? What!? -The percent of Int’l players on rosters from schools accepting public funds. -Transfer portal!? -NIL? A bribe, it’s not about mkt’ing or the school profiting from their sport.

While I feel NIL and college is going the wrong way, this clip from Saban does NOT do it for me. He made millions while the players did not and that was better because of education???? I don’t see that nor comprehend how that’s the issue. Regulation is desperately needed but making it about education loses a lot of people when it’s always been about the football.
CBS News@CBSNews

College football's most decorated head coach Nick Saban spoke at the White House on Friday at a college sports roundtable hosted by President Trump. Saban called on lawmakers to fix issues he has seen at the collegiate level, where Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals have turned the focus away from education. "How much does anybody talk about getting an education anymore? Nobody talks about it at all, which is the most important thing any of these student athletes can do in terms of enhancing their future."

@Vince_Cellini Too many today have a platform to expose their ignorance & nonsensical opinions. These rants & ‘theories’ were once contained in corner bars & card games. We all knew that guy who had an opinion about everything. Now, these nincompoops unite virtually & fuel one another’s fodder.

@TaylorTwellman What a great answer! In Cleveland we had incredible reporters that were amazing storytellers. I grew up spoiled thinking this was how sports news was delivered. Now? Mostly clickbait, self promotion, and nonsensical inflammatory gibberish instead of facts & educated insights.

@923TheFan @KenCarman @SportsBoyTony - Anthony, those garbage scofflaws are the same scourge that do not return their shopping cart to the appropriate shopping cart corral in the parking lot. The downfall of society begins here… 🤦🏻‍♂️

As parents and fans, we’re excited for Year 2 with Akron City FC! What a great group of players and coaches and a truly wonderful gameday atmosphere! A great way to spend a summer evening watching great soccer with a #HoppingFrog Kickin’ BlackBerry Turbo Shandy in hand!
Akron City FC@AkronCityFC

We are pleased to welcome back Wickliffe native Parker Stusek for his second season with Akron City FC. The St. John Fisher University product proved to be a reliable asset in his debut year, and we are excited to have his work ethic and local grit back in the squad for 2026. Good to have you back, Parker.

@danlongacre @CLETalkingHeads @andy_baskin In each of those three places, the offensive gurus are either no longer there for their failures, or were rewarded/punished for their miseries. Please see NY Jets for reference. Firing would have been better for him. Mac Jones? Nope. QB room as is? Nope. Time to roll the 🎲🎲

@CLETalkingHeads @andy_baskin - I don’t want to sound like a Buckeye ‘homer’, but with all the ‘reclamation project’ talk about available QBs, and Monken’s description of the athleticism he’s looking for…doesn’t that sound like Justin Fields? Haven’t heard his name and wondered.

For some reason this bothers me. Because someone is famous, they get away with stuff that normal people could never. If a random fan did that? They’d be banned. He is not part of the team. He has no connection - but this is somehow ok..? Maybe me being “get off my lawn” idk
