The lack of international response to Russia’s occupation of Crimea paved the way for full-scale war. Today, the world must put justice above pragmatism and uphold unity to stop the aggressor. Emphasized this at the Third Summit of the International @crimeaplatform. Liberating Crimea goes beyond just reclaiming our territory. At its heart, it’s about protecting our people. In nearly a decade of Russian occupation, those who refused to give up their Ukrainian identity faced severe repressions. Over 180 Crimean political prisoners are detained in Russia. Over 370 people faced punitive measures from the occupiers for their anti-war stance. All these grave human rights violations are documented and prosecuted. Over 170 proceedings addressing more than 300 criminal acts are under investigation. We have identified 59 suspects, including the top officials of the occupying ‘authorities.’ Six have already been convicted. We are also preparing all the necessary legislation and regulations to restore and uphold law and justice once Crimea is free from the occupiers. #Crimea2023
