Here is the first look at Rabun County’s state championship rings for the Class A Division I boys basketball state championship. The rings were just previewed moments ago during the team’s championship celebration.

Man, if y’all this upset about the finalists for my Hardwood Honors dropping Sunday at 5:00 PM, you’re really not gonna like who ends up winning in some of these categories. I’ve said it all season, I don’t follow the script. I don’t chase hype. I don’t care about rankings, followers, offers, or who’s trending on social media. My awards are based on what I see with my own eyes and who consistently produced and impacted the game at a high level. That doesn’t mean the players getting attention aren’t elite, but they’re not the only ones. Basketball has always been about perspective. Some people thought KD was better than LeBron. Some said Kyrie over Curry. Some will take Luka over SGA. Some argued Embiid over Jokic. Different opinions come with the game. The difference is, a lot of people move off clicks, likes, and popularity. I don’t. I stand on my evaluations. When I dropped my Top 50, I did it my way. When I made my GHSA playoff picks, I did it my way. You don’t have to agree with me, and that’s fine. But if you come at me sideways, don’t expect a response. I’m always open to respectful dialogue, but I don’t engage with disrespect.
