@stokedsport Whoever made this list, doesn’t know shit! There’s a lot of names on that list that probably shouldn’t even be in the top 20. Absent from that list would obviously be Julio Caesar Chavez. Marvin Hagler is another name that should make that list.

@BGMediaOnSI We were all critical because we felt Ty was attainable farther down the board and could’ve traded for extra picks. It’s not the fact that we took him. It’s where we took him and how much we paid.Done is done. It’ll be hard next year to take a top quarterback picking at number 32.

Confusing part about the Rams-Ty Simpson criticism is how we talk about how bad teams throw young QBs into bad situations before they're ready. Best for development to let them sit.
...and then a good team who's in position to do the opposite does it and they get criticized.

@Jimeverett I arrived at the same conclusion, but it took me about three or four days to get over the anger of taking Ty 13 lol. Definitely next level Chess move! Picking from 32 in next year‘s first round, we’d have to sell the farm to get up high enough to take one of the top quarterbacks

Man, everybody’s flipping bad draft grades at the Rams taking Ty Simpson at 13… but I’m here zagging hard.
Played 12 years in this league & this move feels smart as hell. Stafford dropped a MVP season, now you grab a young gun with legit arm talent with McVay smarts to sit behind him & learn? That’s how teams keep the window open long-term without forcing drama. And Simpson has that dog in him. Then next year when others teams are drafting 1st rd QBs, better players drop to pick 32. Next level chess. 🏆
