My older brother Jerry died early this morning. He was 93 and had been a longtime radio and tv farm broadcaster. In Yankton he mentored a high school kid named Tom Brokaw. He was a Korean War Marine. Jerry will be missed

@DUrdahl Melissa was an amazing woman, Dean. Just an absolute light in the room. Always remember the good times and who she was before the tragedy. One of my favorite qualities of hers was her love for animals. Her dog Hershey was like my best friend growing up.

It’s taken some time to process the weekend tragedy. I served 20 years with Melissa Hortman and we worked together many times to find bipartisan ways to do what is right. She last helped me in special session to see legislation pass to help the dairy industry. She was my friend

This kind of rhetoric has led to a 413% increase in assaults against ICE officers. Our federal law enforcement officers willingly face threats every day while they protect our communities. Demonizing them only makes their jobs more dangerous. Shame on you, Governor.
