I am ceasing my public commentary about DVA as my lawyers progress matters. Please note I will continue to defend the rights of all veterans behind the scenes. What DVA have done and how they intend to save $1.1b from veteran compensation this year is wrong. I hope that politicians can see this for what it is and understand that when our soldiers returned from World War 1 we promised to spend our last shilling on veterans. This is not happening. Veterans also have the right to choose a veteran centric provider for the purpose of their claims, this is allowed in the NDIS and workcover why isn’t it good enough for us. You will come to see over the coming weeks that DVA has acted outside the legislation as well as their duty of care. There is so much more to the story that is not yet known to the public but once it is you will understand just how far DVA has pushed the boundaries. I look forward to them being model litigants throughout and hopefully upcoming completion of this action they reflect on what they have done not just to me but the thousands of veterans that interact with DVA. I am always available for advice if you are having difficulties with DVA. Just remember you are all important. From 1 July 2027, significant changes will come into effect that will directly impact Australia's Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI) veterans. Under the current system, TPI veterans can obtain a GP referral for up to 12 government-funded sessions of psychology, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and other allied health services, with no overall monetary cap on the treatment they receive. Once those 12 sessions are used, they can return to their GP for a further referral if ongoing treatment is required. From 1 July 2027, however, eligible veterans will be limited to $5,000 in funded medical expenses per year. Malcolm, a TPI veteran, told One Nation that this change will no longer cover the ongoing treatment he requires for injuries sustained during his military service. After serving Australia for 12 years, Malcolm continues to undergo regular physiotherapy for severe knee and spinal injuries, alongside rehabilitation and fortnightly psychology appointments to manage PTSD and anxiety. His annual treatment costs total approximately $26,000. "When you sign up to defend your country, you accept the risks and you're told you'll be looked after. Then they change the goalposts and take it away from you," Malcolm told One Nation. The Labor government's destructive new budget cuts to veterans not only restrict their much-needed treatment but also revoke a promise the country made to our servicemen. According to Malcolm, the proposed annual cap would not even cover the cost of his psychology appointments for a single year, let alone the physiotherapy and rehabilitation he depends on to maintain his mobility and quality of life. This is yet another disgusting oversight and failure by the Albanese government. For veterans who have already sacrificed so much in service to Australia, changes of this nature raise serious concerns about access to essential ongoing healthcare and the long-term commitments made to those injured while serving their country.

@PollyGone6 Try calling health approvals and give the postcode you are moving to an ask for a list 5 specialists that have billed from that area and they should point you in the right direction. They can’t give “recommendations” but can tell you who has billed last 6 months.

@DVAEXPOSED They’re making it hard for veterans to obtain the medicines they need by insisting on dr visits before Telehealth access. This is detrimental to rural & remote people. I told DVA 2 months ago I’m moving & I need a specialist. They still haven’t been able to find one!

Before the “audit” I was onto all of DVA’s dodgy manipulation of the veteran compensation scheme. I had caught them out and they were frantically telling me they were fixing it. Well we all know what they did next they tried to target me because I asked for a recorded video meeting to hold them accountable. This email is to an Assistant Secretary that they roll out at Senate Estimates and Director of Engagement. I have more receipts where they promised they were fixing this problem. I will continue to post videos and receipts of how I have tried to stop DVA from acting against the legislation to save their budget. #Auspol

@hxpx_issues “Delegate discretion” is the word in the outcome letter but they have no intention to use them, it was an “audit”that should have been completed 10 months ago they just dragged it on until a decision that just disadvantages veterans. Beneficial is out the window.

@DVAEXPOSED Well said Josh, you thanks for sticking it out. I’m unsure how to respond to dva when they say 80% of trc reports were altered and you need new evidence 😭.
