@DrNickDalmon As a patient, you just assume that you are being seen by a doctor. They don't even tell you they are not.

Bottom line… - Not rare in chronic wounds - Usually adhesive-driven (not the gel) - Frequently misdiagnosed - Easily fixed once recognised

Clinical pearl… If a wound “won’t heal” despite appropriate care → Think contact allergy before escalating treatment Hydrocolloid allergy could be a hidden cause

Not done a tweetorial for a long time, but a recent conversation has got me thinking about #hydrocolloid #dressing #allergy. After a bit of searching the evidence this is what I’ve come up with, so here goes…
