I think the issue is that many people make an assumption that regular season advance stats indicate 1 for 1 what someone will do in the playoffs. No one smart thinks that. But when that 1 for 1 doesn’t happen, you get “see, analytics are stupid”.

Not sure I understand the "analytics doesn't work in the playoffs" stuff. At the end of the day, analytics are just all about trying to figure out how to get the most efficient shots for the team and talent that you possess while stopping the opposition from doing the same, and then winning the possession game. Think all of the teams remaining attempt to do this in some way, shape or form.
