The Sunderland side that got promoted through the Championship play-off final cost less than £10m to assemble, it had finished a distant 4th in the Championship... it was filled with players signed in League One. To rebuild an entire first team squad, land a number of players with serious European experience and lead them to 22 points after 13 games... Beating Chelsea and Bournemouth and taking points off sides including Arsenal, Villa and Palace along the way... I genuinely think it's one of the most impressive feats of recruitment I've seen in my lifetime.
