It’s #WomensHistoryMonth every month for us @DocumentWomen; this month, we want to launch our celebration of literature and food with our first-ever “Brunch & Books.” Think of a physical book club with canapés, cocktails, and a sit-down with the author. I'm going to start with @maktaba_wiki, our latest baby. Maktaba was born out of necessity to build a data library that uses statistics to document women’s behaviour and identify gender gaps. Historically, many women’s whats and whys are ignored or poorly documented. We also know that essential data can be expensive and inaccessible, but the importance of women-focused data drives us to build maktaba.wiki All our research is free to use, but please credit us appropriately.
