Before you get excited about Chjakwera's imminent arrest, remember Bakili Muluzi. Arrested in 2006 for stealing $11 million in donor funds. Case dragged for 17 years. Charges dropped in 2023 after he paid back K86 million of K1.7 billion, currently valued at K22 billion, he allegedly stole. That is Malawi's track record.
