@coralhei I'm not aware of any other rights that are singled out for different treatment like this. And if you get it wrong, you're going to federal prison. Yes, including a line in the pardon saying that gun rights are restored is technically unnecessary, but it's better to be in there.

@coralhei 18 USC 921(a)(20) says a felony conviction that had been pardoned does not count as a conviction for firearms purposes, "unless such pardon, expungement, or restoration of civil rights expressly provides that the person may not ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms."
