EA paid some of the most recognizable names in streaming to play BF6, hired a 3rd party to build a custom map & gamemode for them, and gave BF6 a free to play period and the player count went up maybe 7k, then dropped back down to where it was before.

@EndersFPS This is how every BF6 update has felt for me thus far. Something about the way they implement the content just isn't clicking for long-term play. I didn't notice this issue with previous BF titles

Seriously though, now what? As usual the novelty of 1 new map wears off in 72 hours, Nightfall can only be played so much before the novelty of night vision passes, the new weapons are whatever because every gun feels the same, & the 3rd part of Season 2 gives us a machete LMAO.

@Krtzyy Most likely because of server costs and things like that. If they're not making enough, they can't support the game into the future so it's best to cut losses sometimes

Can someone smarter than me explain why a game studio would invest $200M and 4 years of development just to shut the game down after 1 month because low player counts?
Like damn at least try to grow a player base for a few months before pulling the plug lol thats crazy

@OlManMakowski If your game requires several hours for it to get "fun" you can't really expect people to want to stick to it if there's tons of other games that offer more within the first few hours

Marathon didn’t stick right away for a lot of people that played Arc because there is depth, end game, etc.
Once you start to figure out some of the intricacies the game becomes exponentially fun.
If you’re able to get past the initial learning curve you’re in for a great game.

Update: I played one match of Ice Lock Conquest, went back to main menu and the overlaying of all the menu assets has happened again.

I restarted my client after the Winter Offensive go-live time of 12:00 UTC and I can't "break" the menu anymore by scrolling everything up and down. Maybe a mismatch in terms of update going live at 9am UTC and content going live 3hrs later?
