I am beyond annoyed with our healthcare system this week. I have interacted as a family member, a supporter, and a professional in the last 5 days and one thing is clear: we have great people filling up a broken & bureaucratic system. Too many examples for one tweet.

I am feeling the joys of the season this year, but I have to admit today, I am saddened and sickened by a hospital who is deeply limiting the way we can support sick kids at the holidays. Have we forgotten how hard it is for these children!?! Have a heart!!

12 years gone today. 2008 will forever be tarnished by Katie’s death, but to throw away the year as one to be forgotten would be to throw away a lifetime of memories. 2008 taught me that life is to be lived, not rationalized. 2020 has reminded me of this. MEMORY ETERNAL.
