I paid a plumbing company $4,400 to replace a sewer line under my garage, and now my garage floor looks like it lost a fight with a sidewalk 😭 They cut a huge section out of the concrete, repaired the pipe, and patched it back in with concrete that doesn’t even remotely match the original floor. So I asked the foreman when they planned to stain or finish it so it would blend in better… And this man literally laughed and said: “It’s a garage floor, buddy, not the Taj Mahal. Be glad it’s not dirt.” 💀 BE GLAD IT’S NOT DIRT?? I’m sorry, but if I’m paying thousands of dollars for a “professional” repair, I feel like the end result shouldn’t look like a random parking lot patch job. Now I’m sitting here wondering if this just tanked the appearance — and possibly the resale value — of my garage. Would you push back and demand they resurface the area properly, or am I overreacting?

Say you go to a happy hour after work.. You grab a few apps totaling around $40, but you decide to get a nicer bottle of wine for say $100.. When the bill arrives, are you tipping 15-25% on the $40 of food? Or the total cost of $140? (I’m a 20% tipper unless service is subpar)

@AnthonyBarr @D_Gravley But respectfully, if i, as the server, provide incredible service but a cook overdoes your steak or the bartender messes up a cocktail, the server shouldn’t be penalized. (The restaurant SHOULD, however, comp a messed-up item.) I have to get TERRIBLE service to lower the tip.

@AnthonyBarr As a server in the industry it always fasicinates me to see the variation in tipping attitudes. If you can afford a $100 bottle of wine… zero reason you can’t afford to tip the extra money with it. If that 10 dollars is too much then you shouldn’t buy the expensive wine.

Playing Slow vs Playing Fast When I talk to coaches that play a slower pace about their thoughts on fast pace offense, I find it interesting what a lot of them say. Would love to get your thoughts on this.

@Coach_Rowland_ I’m not sure the sport you’re talking about, but most coaches in this universe do NOT have a plethora of D1 players in their roster. Perhaps you need a dictionary

I find it extremely difficult to listen to a coach at a HS clinic who recruits kids and had a plethora of D1 players on his roster. I know he has value as a coach, but give me the guy who went 5-5 with a team that shouldn’t have won but one or two games but he COACHED.
