Majchrzak +4 -110 1U Majchrzak +315 0.5U Bookmaker Maybe it should scare me that Bookmaker is off-market in favor of Tien here, but 1. Limits are still at 1k and 2. Elo is fake Kamil’s backhand is also his much better wing, so playing a lefty as a righty should help him. He’s 7-1 in his last 8 vs lefties with the one loss coming as an underdog against Shelton in a third set tiebreak where he blew two match points, one of them on serve where he missed a routine volley to end it (I had ML) Yes Tien is way better than Kamil and probably wins this. If he’s down, I’m sure he’ll scam yet another undeserved win. But he is not ~ 80% to win this. No way.

@wagsischasing This is quite literally the opposite of what is going to happen. Learner’s serve has gotten a lot better recently and he would much rather play long drawn out points and force errors or wait to hit easy winners. I understand fading Fonseca, he’s a clown… but Learner is for real.

ATP 🎾 Adam Walton ML (+470) The market is pricing Learner Tien as if he’s prime Novak Djokovic. That’s not the case. Conditions are not ideal for Tien to be priced this highly. Tien possesses a weak serve, it’s a spot that needs improvement. While the winds aren’t going to be as strong like they were yesterday, gusts are still going to top out at 30 - 35 mph, so that’ll greatly have an impact. He’s great defensively, can return well, brings a lot of variety to his game, but he’s better on quicker surfaces. Quicker surfaces make up for his lack of power, he’s able to be more effective. Slow, high bouncing courts leave the ball in the strike zone a little longer, and this is where Tien can get beat all day. Walton can still move well and still defend, he’s not one dimensional. He’s got the raw power that can blast through the dry desert air. This is way too wide and I’ll patiently watch Tien win 2-0 in 40 minutes.
